[ARCHIVED] Doing Business with the Auditor/Treasurer's Office

During this uncertain time we are all wondering "what can I do or what should I do?"  We know we need to wash our hands more frequently but the latest term is "Social Distancing".  The MN Department of Health and CDC recommends keeping a distance of 6 feet at a minimum.  This can be difficult when the daily business of government transactions must continue.  Here in the Chisago County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office we want assure you we are taking all proper precautions to protect the public that visit our office.  However we understand that you may not want to come into the building, therefore here are some options that we do strongly encourage you to use.....

  • Mail your tax payment.  Be sure to include the stub or parcel number.  We DO accept postmark as payment date.
  • Online tax payments.  Although they take 3 business days to post in our system, the payment date will reflect the date you created the transaction.
  • Drop box.  Did you know we have a drop box outside the main entrance?  You can put your payment in the drop box and we collect the contents every morning by 8am.  As long as your payment is there by pickup it will be taken for the previous business day.

If you are curious about options with other types of transactions or business our office does please contact us at 651-213-8500 or auditor-treasurer@chisagocounty.us and we will do what we can to accommodate you.

Thank you!
