[ARCHIVED] Chisago County Sheriff's Office Immediate Changes:

Chisago County Sheriff's Badge

The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office is actively trying to do our part to respond to the emerging public health threat. We are encouraging sick employees to stay home, and we are offering flexibility with their work schedules. We ask that you please be patient as some services may take longer than normal due to limited staffing levels.

Effective tomorrow, (Tuesday, March 17, 2020) our lobby at the Public Safety Center (PSC) will be closed to the public. Many of our common walk-in requests are able to be submitted online and can be found on the Sheriff’s Office Page of the County Website. Please understand we are working as quickly as possible to accommodate your non-emergency requests of us.

We are working on a digital way to process permits to carry and purchase permits. For an immediate fix we ask that you email Toni Schwartz with questions on how to obtain a permit to purchase or carry. In the coming days you will be sent instructions on how that process will work. Records requests can be submitted through the online portal via our website.

On-site inmate visitations will also be closed.

Digital inmate visitation can be done from your home by going to Inmate Canteen Website.

Assuring our patrol deputies remain healthy is one of our top priorities. It is imperative they remain healthy so they can be here for you. Effective immediately, any call for service that is not in-progress and/or non-life threatening will begin with a phone call from a deputy. You may be asked to submit information to them via email, text, or picture message to assist with building a case. 911 is still online and we will still respond to life or death emergencies immediately.

Our 24/7 non-emergency phone line is 651-257-4100 if you need a question answered. Please refer to that number, dispatch staff will connect you with the appropriate resource.

We’re all in this together Chisago County… #onecallaway
