[ARCHIVED] Recycle Your Holiday Lights

This holiday season, you can drop off old, unwanted or broken holiday lights, through the end of January 2015, at:
• The vestibule at the Chisago County Government Center in Center City
• Chisago County Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 39649 Grand Avenue in North Branch, Mondays 12-7pm

Recycle Your Holidays™ is unlike any other recycling program in the country, the lights and cords are recycled by adults with developmental disabilities at local vocational centers, providing meaningful jobs and job training for over 200 Minnesotans. In our area the lights are recycled by Pine Habitation and Supported Employment, Inc. (Phase), out of Sandstone Minnesota. Every strand properly recycled in Minnesota is helping to keep our air and water cleaner, and to keep valuable resources out of the landfill.
