The Chisago Lakes Lake Improvement District (LID) is accepting applications for candidates for the election of one (1) Area 5 and one (1) Area 7 (At Large) Board of Directors position.
Election candidate applicants must be:
- 18 years of age or older
- own real property or be a buyer under contract for deed of property within the area they represent.
The term of Area 5 and Area 7 (At Large) are as follows:
- February 1, 2021 and runs until February 2025.
The geographical area is described as follows:
- Area 5 - 1 Director. Must be owner of real property within the Area 5 boundary. Bounded on the east by County Road 24 and County Roads 24/23/91. This includes the western most portion of the Chisago Chain of Lakes Watershed. Ellen, Emily, Green, Little Green, Martha, Mattson, School, and Swamp, Lakes are included in this area.
- Area 7 (At Large) - 1 Director. Must be owner of real property within the District boundaries or be a buyer under contact for deed of property in the District.
The Mission of the Chisago Lakes Lake Improvement District (LID) is to restore, preserve, protect and enhance the water resources of the Chisago Lakes Chain of Lakes Watershed.
The LID Board of Directors attend the monthly LID meetings on the first Monday of each month, unless that date is in conflict with a major holiday, 6:30 p.m. at the Chisago County Government Center.
Applications must be completed by Thursday, December 31, 2020.
Applications received after the stated deadline will not be accepted. An election for the position(s) will take place at the LID Annual Meeting on February 1, 2021. Absentee ballots will be available for those interested.
