Don’t toss that balled up, tangled mess of nonworking holiday lights into the trash! Chisago County Dept. of Environmental Services/Zoning is again partnering with the Recycling Association of MN to recycle them. The lights and cords are recycled by adults with developmental disabilities at local vocational centers, providing meaningful jobs and job training for over 200 Minnesotans.
This holiday season, you can drop off old, unwanted, or broken holiday lights through the end of January 2016, at:
• The vestibule at the Chisago County Government Center in Center City
• Chisago County Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 39649 Grand Avenue in
North Branch, Mondays 12 – 7 pm
Visit the Household Hazardous Waste Facebook Page to see a short video clip on the holiday lights recycling process!
