[ARCHIVED] Looking for jailbirds

Ever wonder what it’s like to spend a night in jail? You don’t even need to commit a crime to find out! Now is your opportunity!

The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office is hosting an “Overnight Lock-Up” event in the new Public Safety Center for eligible members of our community interested in spending a night in jail before inmates are transferred into the new facility.

There will be a cost associated with this event. The cost will be $40.00 – $20 will go to one of three local charities, while the other $20 will help to cover the cost of hosting the event.

The primary focus of the event will be to train Sheriff’s Office staff in the operations of the new facility, while allowing members of the public a “real-life” experience in jail.

Participants will receive a souvenir mugshot for participating in this event! Applicants will be subject to a background check. Any felony level conviction will automatically disqualify any applicant. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older the day applications are due. Participants must be a resident of Chisago County.

Limited spots are available. Participants will be selected by random draw.

You may Apply Online Or you may Print the Application, fill it out completely and return it to the Sheriff's Office by 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18th, if you would like to have a chance at participating in this rare opportunity!
