1. Can I pay Health and Human Services Collections Fees with a credit card, debit card or electronic check?

Yes, as of August 1, 2018 Chisago County began accepting payments for Health and Human Services Collection Fees by credit card, debit card or electronic check for the following fees:

- Child Care Overpayments

- Detox Fees

- Family Deductibles

- Foster Care Fees

- Medical Assistance Overpayments

- MFIP Overpayments

- Other

- SNAP Overpayments

Please Note:  A 2.5% ($2.00 minimum) fee will be assessed when paying with a credit/debit card or a $1.50 fee will be assessed for eChecks up to $10,000.

2. When paying Health and Human Services Collection Fees, can I make a partial payment?

Yes, Chisago County Health and Human Services does accept partial payments. Please call our Collections Officer at 651-213-5639 to make acceptable payment arrangements in order to cease any further collection activity on your account.

3. Can I pay my Health and Human Services Collection Fees over the phone?

No, Chisago County Health and Human Services does not accept payments over the phone. Payments can be made in person (cash, check or money order/cashier's check), via mail (check or money order/cashier's check), or via online payment (credit/debit card or electronic check).

4. Do I need to submit a separate payment if I'm paying on more than one Health and Human Services Collection Fee online with a credit/debit card or electronic check?

No, you can add payments to different fees on the same transaction when paying with a credit/debit care or electronic check. You have the ability to add multiple payments to your purchase.

5. If I owe more than one Health and Human Services Collection Fee, can I write one check?

Yes, you may write one check for the total amount of the fees that you owe.
